It’s never too early to think about the end of the year! If you’re having trouble filling time before the end of the school year, these fun activities can keep your students excited about coming to class. 1. Forrest Gump BINGO - This activity gets students to stay engaged with the movie by making it into a game. They choose the historical terms on the BINGO card from a provided list and can win points or prices based on how quickly they can get a BINGO! The teacher’s guide also includes timestamps for various scenes you might want to skip.

2. Historical Figures Promposal - It’s Prom season around the country, so this activity will resonate with most students. They are to write a promposal to a historical figure from a provided list. Activity includes grading rubric.

3. Historical Figure Spirit Animal - Students pick from a list of spirit animals and match it up to a historical figure from a provided list. They explain the connections and make a visual. Activity includes grading rubric.

4. Historical Figures Blind Mocktail Hour - Activity includes cutouts of historical figures that students are randomly assigned, or drawn from a hat. The name gets pinned to their back without them seeing. Students try to figure out who’s on their back during a class mocktail hour! Feel free to turn this into your end of the year party!

5. Dr. Seuss Story Book - Students learn about the various elements common through Dr. Seuss books, including the recognizable rhyming scheme. Students choose an event in US history from a list and retell in the form of a Seuss book. This activity can be long enough to turn into their final project. Activity includes grading rubric.
